We're so excited to get the girls together to celebrate Lily's birthday this weekend!
Here's some info I bet you were wondering about:
Who: Your girls, me, and my son James. My husband, Kevin, has other obligations and will stay in the city, but will be available for emergencies.
When: Friday, December 2 after school- Sunday December 4 after 1 pm
I'll pick the girls up from school on Friday. If they'll have their stuff together at home, I'll drive by everybody's houses to pick stuff up and pack it in the van and off we'll go.
On Sunday, if it is ok with everyone, I'll bring the girls to church with us and then bring them home after lunch.
Where: Laurelview Christian Camp
This is our regional church's camp. It is Lily's favorite place on earth. The link is above, but here are a few things it may be helpful to know:
Address: 384 Middlecreek Road
Rockwood, PA 15557
Phone: Having the landline number won't be very helpful, because it is a 163 acre property and we might be anywhere.
Our cabin has good cell service, and it is mostly good on the property. Having our cell numbers may be the most helpful information.
Jana: 412-302-8920
Lily: 412-377-2864
James: 412-583-1066
Kevin: 412-877-4635
Accommodations: We'll be staying in the "Director's Cabin". Although not luxurious, it has everything we'll need, heat, bathrooms, kitchen, fireplace, game and craft areas, washer and dryer in case of emergencies. There are two large bedrooms with plenty of beds for everyone. The girls will be in one, James and I will be in the other. What to bring: Layered clothing, we plan to have activities indoors and outdoors so they'll want some winter wear. If it snows, there's sledding.
Linens, including bedding (sleeping bag and pillow are fine), towel and rag Any necessary medications
All the usual overnight stuff
Church clothes, meaning not naked. Honestly, our church has no policy and a variety of styles are represented. There are so few of us in person right now, I'll be doubling the size just bringing them, so whatever they wear, they'll be welcome.
Gifts: You know how it is. I could tell you that you don't have to bring anything, but you probably would anyway. And so you might be wondering what kinds of things Lily would want. Well, if you have any ideas, please tell me. I thought it would be a good idea to raise a child that wasn't interested in material possessions. Its great until you have to figure out what to get her.
Thanks for letting your girls come! If I missed anything or you have any other questions, please text me!
